When we were kids, there were no filters to dreaming. Meaning, if I wanted to be the world’s richest woman tomorrow, I would happily dream about it. But as we grow old, our dreams start becoming more ‘practical’, as they say, it starts considering circumstantial and financial aspects of feasibility. One fine day you wake up and realise that none of what you are today was as planned, nothing went according to the code.

Ever wondered how some people are able to chase and fulfill their dreams?

Here is the story of Dr. Anousheh Ansari who chased and fulfilled her dream of being an astronaut and a successful entrepreneur.

Anousheh AnsariDr. Anousheh is the Co-Founder of Prodea Systems and also the first self-funded female astronaut. Since her childhood in Iran, she used to dream about being an astronaut. She pursued her dream and despite having many struggles in her way, she found her way to space. Although her journey was not that smooth, she always believed in finding solutions for problems.

“Ansari X Prize” is an initiative taken by Dr. Anousheh, which rewards any person with a sum of $10 million for building a sustainable spacecraft that could at least travel to the edge of the atmosphere. The initiative helps people in poverty alleviation, education and other fields needing financial aid.

Dr. Anousheh shares “Life is all about experiences. We learn the most about ourselves through difficulty, mediocrity does not justify our lives. Everything doesn’t have to be pre-planned. You can just jump in and make things happen. If you feel intensely about something, do it.”

Dream to the fullest and start dealing with realities in the best possible attitude you can conjure up, it’s the easiest formula to success.
